We were sorry to hear of the passing of Charlie. He was a very special man to us and one we held dear in our hearts for many years. When we moved to Cranbrook in 1971, we rented the upstairs suite at 216, 14th Ave. South from Charlie...a few years later we moved downstairs in the same building and continued renting till Charlie decided to sell it. Because the mortgage rates in the early 80's were 18% or more, Charlie said that he would take the mortgage at 5% and so we bought the house from him. That was the kind of wonderful man he was. He helped us many times with house advice over the years and we got to know Marie a bit when they got together. Later in his life we would see him at Joseph's Creek Village when my Mom was living there. He still remembered us and would always have a cute story or witty saying when ever we ran into him. We would see him almost daily walking with his walker to Superstore or back. He lit up the room he was in and brought great joy to everyone whose life he touched. We will have fond memories of him for all of our life....our condolences and best wishes to all of his family...David and Patricia Stock
