Please share a memory of Mae to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
1948 -2010
Mae passed away peacefully on December 15, 2010 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital at 62 years of age.
Mae was born on June 26, 1948 in Milden, Saskatchewan. She battled with Rheumatoid Arthritis for many years, but her final battle was a brief one with Cancer. Mae was a kind soul who rarely had an idle hand or an idle mind. She was an avid reader and loved puzzles of any kind. Her green thumb produced plentiful flowers and vegetable gardens. Many a time you could find her with her bird book in hand, and she would tell you anything you wanted to know about her feathered friends and then some. She spent her evening hours knitting and crocheting and created many beautiful projects over the years. Mae will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her family, friends and all those who knew her.
Mae is survived by her loving husband and best friend Ron Dryla; daughters: Laura Dryla and Rhonda (Bruce) Command; grandchildren: Christopher Lindstrom (Dryla), Chelsie Dryla and Riley Command; siblings: Gordon, Vincent, Deanna and Henry Massie, and many nieces and nephews.
Mae was predeceased by her parents Leonard and Evelyn Massie and brother Raymond Massie.
A memorial service for Mae will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 2:00 PM at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley, British Columbia. Her Interment will take place in the Kimberley Cemetery following the service. A light lunch and refreshments will be served at McPherson Funeral Home in Kimberley following the Interment.
