Obituary of Elizabeth Coast

1929 – 2020

 

On December 26, 2020, with her loving family at her side, Elizabeth (Beth) Coast left her gardens here on earth to tend to bigger and brighter ones above; she was 91 years of age.

 

Beth loved flowers and being from Holland, geraniums were her favorite.  She had the greenest of thumbs, patiently spending hours in her gardens. She loved her patio as well, and the flowers around her home were beautiful; Mom could always be counted on for planting advice: what, when and where. 

As an active member of the Legion in Hinton, Alberta, she held every position available to her, taking the most pride in calling and leading the colour party; In more recent years, she very much enjoyed the sisterhood of the Eastern Star.  Flowers and gardens aside, mom loved her children the most, time together was always filled with moments of laughter, and love, making the cherished memories we will hold dear in our hearts forever.  We will miss you!

Beth is survived by her daughter, Theckla (Calvin) Sawicki, son, John (Dianna) Branderhorst, grandsons, Shawn and Bill Branderhorst, James Hopkins, daughter–in-law Wanda Coast and granddaughters, Erin, and Lesley Coast.

She was predeceased by her husband Ron and her son Albert Coast.

A Celebration of Life, with internment in Edson, Alberta, will be held at a date to be announced.
