I have many wonderful memories of Norma from our time working in the office of what was then Crescent United Church. Norma was my back-up in the office but our work relationship soon developed into friendship. Vi Parker also helped out in the office and the three of us would often get together for lunch, conversation and laughter. Norma was also Chair of Council for Crescent and she had a quiet but firm leadership style. Her role in the church also included leadership of several committees. She had a great way of dealing with conflict and I remember one of the phrases she would use when dealing with a difficult person: "Now, if you just work with me on this, we can resolve it." Norma was also a wonderful gentle support when my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. She was a bright light in this world. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Deepest sympathy from Carol Monaghan.
