To Anna Maria, Rosa and families,
I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She was a wonderful lady and I have many fond memories of her helping my mom at the Koot-Nee motel doing everything from cleaning to babysitting to cooking her wonderful meals. She and Luigi were incredibly welcoming to our family and we will always hold them dear to our hearts. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

Anna Maria & Family and Rosa & Family, expressing heartfelt condolences to all of you in the loss of your Mamma. Your Mamma's beautiful personality, strong will and big heart are but some of the fine qualities she has blessed you, your beautiful children and grandchildren with. I will never forget some of the fun neighborhood block parties waaaay back when but what resonates most is the time working at La Cucina with Mr. and Mrs. Pizzino, Anna Maria and Giacomo. I remember how Mrs. Pizzino would greet her customers and employees, always with a smile and warm embrace. Walking in the back door of La Cucina, first words I'd hear from Mrs. Pizzino, "Hi, are you hungry? Did you eat? What do you want to eat? I make it for you" Mrs. Pizzino took such pride in her culinary skills and her customers returned time and time again. I have smiled thinking of a frequent occurrence at La Cucina. On a busy Friday or Saturday evening, I'd bring back a plate or 2 of food to the kitchen. Mrs. Pizzino would ask, "what are you doing, whats the matter?" I would respond with "they would like to take the rest of it home". Mrs. Pizzino would motion for me to give her the plates where she would place in take away containers and proceed to add more of her delicious food, handing the stuffed containers back with a big smile and wink! That was the hard-working, passionate and generous woman I will always remember and admire. Rest in Peace.

Growing up in our “Little Italy” holds such special memories...being neighbours with the Pizzino family was extra special. I will always remember Caterina’s happy smiles and big heart. Hanging out with Anna was always fun and even though it seems like a lifetime ago, we can always pick up where we left off. I am so happy that Maygan and I got to see Caterina this summer. She was stoic and I can see that beautiful quality in her children, ♥️Anna♥️ and grandchildren ♥️Dino♥️. You will certainly be missed by your loving family and friends, but knowing that you are safe in Heaven with Luigi and more family and friends is comforting. Thank you Pizzino and Pesce families for being a special part of my life. With love and hugs, Josephine♥️♥️

We will never forget Comare Caterina. There are many fond memories of her spending time, sharing her talents, sound advice, and her long, warm hugs. By her example, she taught us all how to be strong and confident women. We will miss her forever. God bless you all and may God give you strength during these hard times.
