My condolences to all the family. I first met Mrs. Voss (that's what I always called her) while I was working at the Kootenay East Youth Program. As part of a life skill the youth from the young offenders home would go to Mrs. Voss's house on an as needed basis, to mow the lawn, weed, shovel snow, take out storm windows or anything that needed to be done. I remember Mrs. Voss coming out after the kids had worked for about a half hour and she would say "can they stop and have a break?", "they have been working so hard" then the kids would go inside and she always had a big spread for them, pizza, pop, baked goods, cheezies, you name it? Then the kids would always offer to do the dishes. I had the opportunity to see Mrs. Voss in the super store not that long ago and we chatted for quite some time, I'm so glad! I told her how much respect the youth had for her and how much of a positive impact she had on their success for a better future.
