I would like to send my condolences to Doug's family, especially Mary Jean, Bridget, Ryan, Sid, Hailey and Charlie. I always loved running into Doug and chatting with him. Two of the times I most readily recall include a time we stopped and talked for some time on Swansea. I was on my way down and he was heading up. I seem to remember he was heading to, or coming from, a golf game that same day. I always found his energy to be so inspiring. I hope to continue to be as active as he was for as long as I can. The other time was during a story time I was hosting for the preschool. Sid, I think you were there too. Your Grandpa came in and all the preschoolers were so delighted to see him - he was a celebrity. He sang them a song, something about an old tin can and they loved it! I will continue to think of your Grandpa on my adventures in the mountains. The other day I thought I saw him heading up the trail towards me on Swansea and I was sad when it turned out to be someone else. I was looking forward to the chat, if only for the few seconds until I realized it wasn't him. Sending you all lots of love, Dallas Husar
