Wolfgang Pollmann posted a condolence

Dear Candi,
Please accept my husband Wolfgang's and my most sincere condolences on the passing of your dear husband Vern! Vern was most certainly one of the most interesting and kindest persons we ever met. Yes, we do remember him well from his years at the Radium pool, where his quiet, friendly manner of interacting with the public was exemplary. Personally, I (Eva) had the good fortune of meeting Vern on several occasions at "Fairmont Goldsmith" (long-time friends of ours), where we always had the best conversations. Vern radiated kindness; he was a devoted family man and friend.
I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity of seeing and talking to Vern in the hospital - I am the one who had brought the green toy "Hershey's Kiss".
My you take comfort in the knowledge that your dear husband will always be with you and the girls in your special memories and dreams.
Yours most sincerely
Eva & Wolfgang Pollmann in the Highlands / Invermere.

Dear Candi, Jess and Sarah,
Vern held a special spot with all of us. Mataia and Myles had many stories to share about their time with Vern, at the Pools. Alec and I always loved his visits, catching up at the Brisco store, in our yard or somewhere in Invermere. We are terribly sad to hear of his passing. He was a character with a huge, kind heart...he will be missed!
Sending hugs during this difficult time,
Sara, Alec, Mataia and Myles.

We are soo incredibly grateful that we met such a wonderful gentlemen as Vern, and were able to call him a good friend. We always enjoyed our visits with Vern, and loved hearing his stories of his life. We talked about ppl he had met, things he had done, old motorcycles, (a common love of Vern and Gary's), and Family. Vern was so proud of 'his girls', the love he had, and will always have, for his wife, and his daughters, shone in his eyes, and was so undeniable when he talked of them. Our hearts, and thoughts, are with them, during this difficult time. Please always remember, and hold onto, all the love Vern had for you all. Take care!! If you ever need us, we are only a call away. Love Gary & Maye Hollick *Pic is of Gary & Vern outside of the original house. I thought you might like it. xoxo!
