Dear Garry, My heart goes out to you on the loss of your beautiful Kathy. You two were such a wonderful example of a loving couple who respected and cared for one another, for your family and your parish. Kathy will be missed for the generous donation of her time & talents that she gave to many friends and numerous parish activities. I know you have special memories to cherish as you and your children face life without her. Wishing you God's peace, Ev

To Garry and family. We were blessed to have met Kathy and relished in her kindness to our family. As part of the ministry of our Blessed Eucharist, Kathy always ready to serve. She brought the love of our Lord to our mass and shared that with everyone. I will miss her friendly smile and gesture to ask if I could help, which I was honored to do. I know that she is now with our Lord and in His blissful light. Garry and family I pray peace to your heart and knowing you have a large family of friends here should you need anything.

I met Kath, Garry and the family 25 years ago through Kath’s sister, Eileen. We attended Christ the Servant Catholic Church and fast became friends at “coffee” after Mass and other church-related events. As the years progressed, so did our friendship. In addition to delicious “brunches” at the Baron household following mass, Kath and I began meeting for lunch along with our good friends, Berni Doll and Pixie Leahy. The four of us have been celebrating each other’s birthdays for well over 10-12 years. Kath was the kindest, friendliest and most generous person I know. She devoted the majority of her time towards helping others. I could confide in Kath and feel confident in knowing that my ”secrets” would go no further. My life has been enriched because of the beauty and love of this woman. “To live in the hearts we leave behind…is not to die” ~ Thomas Campbell.
To the Baron Family, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

To Garry and family: please accept my condolences and prayers at this time of your loss. Kathy’s ready and inviting smile, welcoming demeanour, and boundless energy always seemed to draw people nearer to her, and you always felt better whenever she would stop just to say “hi.” There are two memories that will forever remain with me: there is Kathy’s infectious smile, but there is also the sight of watching you and Kathy power walking throughout the city. May you and your family find rest for your heartache in God’s compassion.

Kathy was my Sister-in-law... married to my husbands brother, mother to my nephew and nieces, grandmother to my grand nephews and grand nieces, and a wonderful human being... When I came into this wonderful extended family, I was made welcome, by her friendly and warm smile. Her calm and confident demeanour, always made me feel accepted, and never judged. When we learned of Kathy's illness a few month's ago, Jennifer came out to Vancouver, with her parents, to spend a few days together and go to a Canucks game... We spent a wonderful evening together at our home, and I was left with a sense of HOPE, that it would all be ok... Unfortunately, that was not to be... God called you to His side much sooner then we would all have it... He must have had a Special Job for you... We miss you already... Our Love to you, Garry, your children and grandchildren, and indeed to our entire family... Much Love... Antero & Roger...

We shared many great memories when we attended the same church and lived in the same neighbourhood. I cherish the coffee times and conversations we had. Many happy memories of Basketball with our girls and Hockey with our sons and spouses. Will miss the welcomes we always received to their home when visiting Cranbrook.
Kathy shared her talents and always encouraged learning. Her love for family was expressed in many conversations. Kathy, you will surely be missed. Rest in peace my friend.

We were neighbours of Kathy and Garry for a few years and were blessed by Kathy’s kind and thoughtful ways. Kathy didn’t hesitate to haul out the jointly owned snow blower and tackle the drifts left at the top of our cul de sac when the snow plough went by. We were parishioners together at Christ the Servant parish and we watched as your girls grew up. Kathy was always ready with a smile and a wave for us all. Sending prayers for the whole Baron family, so terribly sorry for your great loss from Dwight and
Margaret.

Having met Kathy in 1971, despite the distances we have lived from each other, in many ways over the years I feel that we grew up together while sharing bonds of family and marriage and while raising our own children. How lucky indeed I have been to have counted her not only as a multi-talented sister-in-law, but a dear and loving friend. My children want you to know, Garry and family that she was lovely, always super nice and loving, and great and they send you their love. I echo their sentiments. Love to you all. Lynn
