Shirley Louise Rossi

October 2, 1935 – March 3, 2020

Shirley Louise Rossi, age 84 of Kimberley BC, passed away March 3^rd, 2020 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital with her family by her side.

She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Effie McCartney, her sister Betty Linderman, her brother Ron McCartney and her two sons Patrick Lyle Rossi and David Charles Rossi.

Shirley is survived by her husband Pat Rossi, daughter LaRae (Leonard) Hynes, Ron (Christie) Rossi, Tim Rossi and Danny Rossi. Shirley was loved dearly by her grandchildren Aaron (Brenda) and Shaune (Stacy) Hynes, Robbie (Teresa), Jennifer and Corey Rossi and her great grand-children Harmonie, Connor, Savannah, Ryland, Logan, Madison, Makaiya, Chloe and Cole. Shirley will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Shirley was born and grew up in Lethbridge, Alberta, later moving to the Crowsnest Pass where she met her loving husband Pat. They moved to Kimberley in 1958 where they resided for 62 years raising their family and volunteering in the community. Shirley was on countless committees including KIOTAC, Women of the Moose, Summer Games, Winter Games, Snow Fiesta, Kimberley Now, Summer Theater, Festival of the Arts, Dynamiter Booster Club and many more!

She so enjoyed her volunteering.

Shirley loved decorating her home at Hallowe’en for the entire town! Her greatest joy was watching as the kids decided on a candy apple, sucker, popcorn ball or ginger bread cookie. Christmas was another special time for Shirley and Pat as they always went all out with decorations.

Shirley will be lovingly remembered by all she knew.
