Obituary of Victoria Snegur

1916 - 2010

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Victoria Snegur announces her passing on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Joseph Creek Care Village in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 93 years of age.

Victoria was born in Beulah, Manitoba on November 24, 1916. She was raised in Insinger, Saskatchewan on a farm with 2 brothers Mike and Matt and 1 sister Doris. In 1943 she married Wesley Snegur in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where their children Roselle and Edward were born. They lived in the Rosetown, Saskatchewan area, until the early 1970's. After retirement they moved to Lethbridge, Alberta. Vicky moved to Sparwood, British Columbia after her husband and son passed away to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

Victoria leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter Roselle (Rodney) Newham, her grandchildren Stuart and Cheryl Newham, her great grandchildren Jesse Wilson, Shyanne, Rebecca and Danica Newham. She was predeceased by her husband Wesley and her son Edward.

There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in honour of Victoria may do so to the: Alzheimer Society of B.C., #300 - 828 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C., V5Z 1E2.
