Please share a memory of Jaimis to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With broken hearts we sadly announce the untimely, unexpected passing of our dear son,
Jaimis Lee Walsh “Jaimie” On December 21, 2019 in Cranbrook, B.C.
Jaimie was born November 21, 1963 in Michel, B.C. and moved to Cranbrook, B.C with his mom and dad at the age of 11 months old. He attended kindergarten up to graduating from Mount Baker High School, then on to the College of the Rockies, BCIT and SAIT.
Jaimie’s passion was education learning and excelling in all his accomplishments. He loved mechanic’s, being a red seal electrician, electronics, robotics, being a computer specialist, business administration, computer technology electronics, automation and instrumentation tech. Jaimie was very talented in all his diverse knowledge and experience. He worked as an industrial instrumentation tech and loved it. He was a member of the IBEW 1003 Union of the Kootenay’s.
Jaimie loved working with his hands and mechanical skills. He often would take a truck or car apart and restore it back to its original beauty, he was good at electrical wiring, troubleshooting from big problems to small and got the job quickly and perfectly!
He loved fishing in any body of water he could find, always canning his big catches, with the addition of his homemade canned pickles with double garlic. We all loved eating them.
Jaimie kept up with sports, loved watching most but wrestling was his favorite, news was always on in the mornings, he loved keeping up with new health treatments and loved the challenges of quizzing him on his ongoing sponge of knowledge. He loved hiking, skiing and cycling at the coast, most recently he hiked Fisher Peak, as well as canoed the Kootenay River.
Jaimie was a quiet, kind, honest, intelligent person who will be deeply missed and loved by all who truly knew him.
Left to cherish his warm memories, parents Jim and Pat Walsh of Cranbrook, B.C., sister Cindy Prechel (Rick) of Edmonton, Alberta, nephews Cody and Brody Prechel of Edmonton, Alberta, aunts Sherilyn Stedham of Parksville, B.C.
