It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Chan on Sunday December 8, 2019 at the F.W. Green Memorial Home. Tom loved the Kootenays and all it has to offer; he was an avid fan of the Kootenay Ice, attending many of their games. He enjoyed watching football, playing bingo scratch tickets, and in his younger years enjoyed playing chess. Meeting with friends and enjoying a cup of tea at Dairy Queen became some of his great pass times. Tom will be greatly missed by his two sons Ben and Derrick. Tom is predeceased by his loving wife Mabel. A celebration of Tom’s life will take place on Friday December 20th, 2019 at 11am at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook. Tom will be interred with his wife Mabel at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Cranbrook United Church or the East Kootenay Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
