Obituary of Cheryl Deane Wassink

Please share a memory of Cheryl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

1950 - 2014

Cheryl was born on June 24, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cheryl loved her family. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren growing up. She was a Jeopardy fan and a real smarty pants. The Creston Radio Station banned her from their trivia contests, for too many correct answers.

Over the last 11 years, Cheryl struggled with Cancer. She was so brave and strong. Although in pain, she continued to smile and laugh with those around her. She taught children's church and loved it so much.

There are so many family and friends Cheryl enjoyed spending time with, she never had an empty hospital room. Cheryl away passed peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 63 years of age, and went to join her mom, dad, sister and other family members who went on before her.

Cheryl is survived by her husband Arie, her sisters Jeanette (Dick) Preble and Sandra (John) Garner, her brother Vic Snyder, her sister-in-laws Grada (Sid) Brass, Mia (Ernie) Steward and Deb Symons, her brother-in-law Jack Wassink, her sons Arie (Jacki) Wassink, Robert Wassink and Steven Wassink, her daughters Diane (Dean) Fisk and Amanda Wassink, granddaughters Brittany (Jamey) Wood and Stephanie Bidichka-Wassink, her grandsons Robbie Wassink, Kyle Chatterson, Ryobi Fisk, Jordan Wassink, Brock Fisk, Rylan Wassink and Odin Fisk. She was predeceased by her father Judd William Snyder, mother Levon Gardner, sister Anna Wisdom, niece Tammy Roley and her nephew Jacob Garner.
