Obituary of May Cimolai

(nee Gaskell)

May 2, 1933 - March 13, 2013

May was a lifelong resident of Kimberley who left an impression on everyone she met. She could be seen walking the local sidewalks and trails on a daily basis; truly an energizer bunny. She had a passion for spending time with her husband Ezio and family, gathering with her friends and Sewing Circle ladies, puttering in her garden, never missing her tea and cookies and the "odd" trip to the casino. Not known for her size in stature, she was definitely known for her huge personality and witty giggle, and was never afraid to share her opinion. Along with leaving behind a vast collection of shoes to fit her petite feet, she left behind a legacy of fond and vivid memories. She fought an incredible and courageous battle in recent years, but did it with the grace and stubbornness we all loved her for.

May was the daughter of Septimus & Dorothy May Gaskell; sister to Dorothy, Bert, Roy and Evelyn; beloved wife of Ezio, dear mother of Mark (Sandy) Cimolai and Lori (Frank) Gallagher; cherished grandmother of Tania and Mickey Cimolai; extended family to Brett and Darren (Angela, Chelsey & Alyssa).

May's request was to not have a formal funeral service. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to make a charitable contribution in May's memory, can do so to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of their choice.
