To the family of Sharon Zemp:
I met Sharon by chance early last year, when she came into the Save On Foods that I work at near Vancouver. She had told me she was from Cranbrook, and had Stage 4 Cancer.
I spoke to Sharon briefly about her battle, and I had asked her to stay strong, and for her to come back a year later, should she have been able to to win her battle.
Over the last year, I looked forward to seeing her again, but sadly, came across her obituary.
I want you to know that even though I only met Sharon that one time, I had thought about her, and held the hope that she would win her battle, and that I would have seen her again. Meeting her, and having the opportunity to speak to her has had a lasting affect on me.
I am truly sorry for your loss.
