1940 - 2010

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vivian Small Legs on March 4, 2010 in Cranbrook, British Columbia.

Vivian is survived by her loving daughter Tina "Billie" and husband Peter along with her granddaughter who was her pride and joy Alicia "Pooch" and shared her love by raising her niece Carolynn Small Legs. She is also survived by her family Patricia (Harold), Terry (Leona), Edwin (Shelley), Alfred (Berylanne), Barbara (Cochise), Irma (Duke) and numerous nieces and nephews whom she all adored.

Vivian was predeceased by her loving husband Douglas Kilborn in 2006 and her parents: Fred (1969) and Martha Scott (1995), her brothers and sisters: Wallace (1973), Stanley (1982), Kathryn (1983), Ivan (1984) and Delores (2006).

Vivian was born on November 13, 1940 on Piikani Nation and was raised in Fort Macleod, Alberta and then attended the Sacred Heart Residential School on the Piikani Nation and worked for the Pincher Creek Hospital in her early years then resided in Cranbrook, British Columbia till her passing.

Wake services will be held Thursday, March 11, 2010 from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook. Her funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Cranbrook, British Columbia on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 1:00 pm. We welcome you to stay after the services for a luncheon which will be held at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations towards
