Gale, Brent, Lorie and families:
So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Our family has known Ruby for many years and whenever I was home, when I saw her downtown or somewhere, I always stopped and talked with her. She was well known in the community and will be sadly missed.
My Sincere Sympathy.

Dear Lorie and Family,
I share your sentiments Kaitlin. Truly, your grandmother was an extraordinary woman and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. She touched my life when I arrived at Laurie School in grade 5 and made me feel "special" - not in a flamboyant celebratory way but with friendship and kindness, interested in my well-being. Throughout my life, Ruby continued to be a friend to me and I am very blessed to have known her and sad that on my next visit home she won't be there, to say hello and grab some time to talk and catch up.
My sincere condolences, Barbara Buckman

To the family of Ruby Sinclair. I was blessed to of known Ruby Sinclair while attending Laurie School. She I believe had a very difficult position but in her own way carried out her role with dignity, confidence and grace. She was a highly regarded member of the staff. Her whole demeanor made you have respect and cooperate with whatever she requested of her without talking back or questioning why. I remember once my friend thought it would be funny to take the PA system so that they couldn't call us back to school after lunch. She only did it to be funny and about ten minutes after we were supposed to be back she returned it to the office to Ruby who graciously took it back and thanked her for returning it. She didnot get upset or flustered. She is one person who I think all of us have never forgotten and were better for knowing her. I agree that your Grandma, Mother, wife was an amazing person.

Frank and I were fortunate enough to meet this great lady a few years back - she came to our home for dinners with her Sister Pearl, in Edmonton. Ruby was a dear friend to our dear Aunt Bert - and she will be missed greatly. We are so fortunate to have met Ruby and have her enrich our lives. We extend Sincere Sympathies to Ruby's family.

Ruby was a joy to run into. I knew her from the days of being a student and her being the secretary. But most recently over the years, Ruby would not pass me by without a hug and kiss. She would bend down to reach me in my wheelchair and would always have something pleasant to say. She had a huge heart that will be missed by so many. Condolences,
Karen (Hummel) & Ron McGregor

Ruby was truly an extraordinary woman. She touched so many lives and will be remembered as the beautiful woman she was. Always on the run to the next college class, or volunteer position at the hospital.......she so enjoyed the many golf lunches where she visited with each and every one of her senior golf friends long after she put her clubs away. Ruby knew our grandson, Brandon, and asked about him every time we met, wanting to know how he and his family were. What a memory Ruby had. Blessings to her family, you have wonderful memories to share.

I met Ruby when she was the secretary at Laurie School and I was a student. Throughout the years we had many opportunities to meet in the community with a smile and laugh. So many things to say about Ruby but anyone that knew her would know what a wonderful person she was. She indeed will be sadly missed but will be fondly remembered in our hearts. She was an icon and Cranbrook will not be the same without her. My thoughts and prayers for the family. Barb Wilhite

We met Ruby & Bill in the early 60's, when we were neighbours. Where ever you saw Ruby, she always greeted you with a big hug & a story to tell. She never forgot who you were & would ask about everybody. Ruby, you sure will be missed in this town. Your beautiful smile & friendly face will always be remembered.
Our thought & prayers are with the family. Sincerely Jim & Lila McGovern
