Obituary of Annette Marguerite MacKay

It is with great sadness that the family of Annette Marguerite MacKay announces her passing on Monday, February 22, 2010 after a long courageous battle with illnesses at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook.

Annette was a passionate gardener who loved growing everything from her tomatoes in the greenhouse to her flowers that filled her yard. Annette was a very hard working woman who owned many businesses over the years, including the Station Restaurant, a women's clothing and shoe store and most recently MacKay Contracting. Annette had a big heart and gave so much to so many.

Annette is survived by her loving husband Barrie; her son Rob (Sharla); her daughter Terri-Lee (Bob); her sister Elaine (Ben); her grandchildren: Amanda (Joel), Jennifer and Kendra, 2 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and her three precious pets: Mika, Tika and Squeek. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Shirley and her son Danny.

A funeral service for Annette will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 2:00 pm.
