Obituary of Dylan Edwin Jenks

1984 - 2010

Dylan Edwin Jenks, born October 31, 1984, passed away at his home on Friday, February 19, 2010. This special young man was only with us for a short 25 years.

Dylan graduated from Selkirk Secondary High School in 2002. He then went on to be a roofer, specializing in torch-on. Dylan was always so proud of his workmanship. He spent his summers camping at McNair Lakes with family and friends, riding his dirt bike, canoeing and building the McNair Tree Fort with his brother and enjoying all the summer days. Dylan had a love for Ford 4x4's and at the age of 14 he started building his dream truck. The dream truck was completed 2 years later and Dylan was always known for this masterpiece of a truck.

Dylan grew up in a close loving family surrounding and he always enjoyed spending time at his family home. He enjoyed and lived life to the fullest and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone.

In the last year Dylan was blessed with Ryder, his 11 month old son. He spent every moment he could raising the most precious part of life to him. In their short time together, everyone could see the close father/son bond that they have.

Left to mourn Dylan's passing is his son Ryder; brother Tyler; mom Marie; nephew Austin; cousin Lori; grandparents Jean and Bill; Biscuit (his dog, best friend and close companion) and his many friends. Dylan was predeceased by his loving father Ed in 2005.

A celebration of Dylan's life will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at the Kimberley Elks Hall from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
