1931 - 2010

The family of Larry Bergeron sadly announce that their beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away in Cranbrook on January 6, 2010.

Larry was born on February 28, 1931 in New Westminster, British Columbia and spent his first 19 years going to school and working in and around Langley, British Columbia. In 1952 he and his wife Mary moved to Kimberley where Larry began a 40 year career working for Cominco. During this time, they raised their three boys: Larry Jr, Ken and Howie. Larry was a man of strong family values and was always there when we needed him. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and cross-country skiing. He especially enjoyed picking huckleberries every August. Larry also worked as a volunteer fireman for the Kimberley Fire Department for 25 years. He loved his entire family and will be truly missed.

Left to remember his devotion to family are his wife Mary; his three children: Larry Jr. (Nedee), Ken (Sharron), Howie (Coral); his eight grandchildren: Amy, Steven, Michael, Becky, Shelby, Garnett, Luke and Carsten. He also leaves behind a brother Leo (Audrey), several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Larry will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Kimberley United Church. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honour of Larry may do so to the Kimberley United Church, 10 -Boundary Street, Kimberley, British Columbia, V1A 3C8.
