Obituary of Otto Kurt Fiedler

1922 - 2009

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Otto Kurt Fiedler announces his passing on Friday, December 18, 2009 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 87 years of age.

Ted was born on September 21, 1922 in Halle, East Germany. He worked for 40 years with the CPR and was on the board of directors of the Canadian Museum of Railway Travel for 25 years. Ted was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather and was very involved in the lives of his grandchildren.

He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Helen; daughter Jayne (Steve); grandson Sean (Sarah); and granddaughter Amber. He was predeceased by his son Gordon. A memorial service for Ted will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Cranbrook United Church.
