Kenneth "Ken" Alfred Yeager, age 67, died suddenly on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, after suffering a heart attack.
Ken was born November 4, 1942, in Cranbrook, British Columbia, to Alfred "Alf" and Vera Yeager. He grew up in Cranbrook and spent most of his adult life there. After graduating Ken spent 3 years in the Canadian Navy, then worked for several years in the grocery business, before returning to Cranbrook and becoming a realtor and real estate appraiser.
Ken loved the real estate profession, and was involved in it right to the end.
Ken is survived by his wife, Yvonne; his daughter Sherryl; son Ian (Rona), and grandchildren: Quinn and Alyssa. He is also survived by his mother Vera, his sisters: Linda and Judy, and his brothers: Roger and Steve. Ken has a large step-family, which includes his step-children: Wade, Warren, Brent, Gayle, Heather, and Bryan; as well as his step-grandchildren: Griffin, Maxim, Georgia, Sydney, Jacob, Gage, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, and Savannah.
A celebration-of-life gathering for Ken will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at the Prestige Inn in Cranbrook, British Columbia.
