Obituary of Marion Beynon
March 6, 1915 - November 10, 2009
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt Marion Beynon. She is survived by her twins: Cerith Revie of Cranbrook and Gwyneth Hart of Comox; her grandchildren: Don (Karen) Revie and Will (Tara) Revie, all of Cranbrook, Ceri Hart of Victoria, and Dryw Hart of Vancouver; and her five great grandchildren: Colin, Evan, Brennan, Jordan and Brady Revie. Marion was the middle child born to Rachel and George Richmond in Cranbrook on March 6, 1915. She served the Cranbrook and Kimberley communities as a teacher and principal for thirty years. She was an accomplished artist and a student of the Banff School of Fine Arts. She used her creative talents to design shell jewelry, leather work as well as her water colour and oil paintings.
We are grateful for the compassionate care of the staff at Willow Creek Village and the staff on the third floor at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honour of Marion may be made to the: Canadian Cancer Society, 19 - 9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 2L9 or the: East Kootenay S.P.C.A., Box 2, Cranbrook, British Columbia, V1C 4H6 as she passionately loved animals.
