Obituary of Thelma Kary

1921 - 2009

Thelma Kary passed away peacefully at the Kimberley Special Care Home, on October 27, 2009 at 87 years of age. Thelma was very active with the United Church UCW, was a Girl Guide Leader and was a volunteer with the Kimberley Library and Kimberley Museum.

Thelma is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Lawrence; sons: Colin (Cranbrook), Glen (Squamish), and Greg (Sidney, Australia); 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters: Faith (Quesnel) and Shirley (Vancouver); 1 brother: Gary (Penticton), as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Thelma will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Kimberley United Church located at 10 - Boundary Road in Kimberley.
