Obituary of Henry Alexander Burgess
It is with great sorrow that the family of Henry Alexander Burgess announce his passing on July 15, 2009 in Cranbrook, British Columbia at 74 years of age.
Bud was born on January 13, 1935 in High River, Alberta. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a Canadian ranked badminton player and instructor. Bud worked for over 30 years at Beaver Lumber which later changed ownership and became a Home Hardware store selling new home construction packages. He really enjoyed helping people obtain their homes.
Bud is survived by his loving wife Agnes of 51 years; two sons: Bill (Sandra) Burgess of High River and their sons Jeff and Chad, and Andy (Danna) Burgess of Fernie and their daughters Sarah and Ally; plus numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Alex and Josephine, his son Robert and brother Jim "Hap" .
Prayers for Bud will take place on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 7:00 pm at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Cranbrook. His funeral mass be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Cranbrook. Bud's Interment will take place at 2:00 pm in the Highwood Cemetery in High River, Alberta on Thursday, July 23, 2009.
