Obituary of Ivy Ruault
April 4, 1916 - January 19, 2009
Ivy Ruault passed away at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital peacefully on January 19, 2009 at 92 years of age.
Ivy was born and raised in Cranbrook, a place she loved dearly. She had a great love of children and was a foster parent to several infants. She liked gardening and animals. She was a 50 year member of the Lady Eagles. Ivy's greatest joy was playing blackjack at the casino, where she could be seen most weekends. Ivy was a kind and generous person who was friends with all who knew her. Ivy is survived by her companion of many years, Tom Bradford; son Bob (Barb) Ruault; daughter Venie (Jim) Webster; grandchildren: Tom (Sandy) Webster, Ivy-Lynne (Dave) Stein, Lesley Ruault (Mike Landers), Mark Ruault (Paulien Van Galen); great grandchildren: Adam Webster, Ben Stein, Miranda Webster, Mark Stein, Katie Landers, Elise Ruault and Charlotte Landers; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Severe Ruault; brothers: Bob Pattinson, Bill, Frank and Tooke Sissons; and also her parents.
A funeral service for Ivy will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 1:00 pm in the McPherson Funeral Chapel in Cranbrook. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery.
