Obituary of Joan Dillon
1946-2008
Our dearest Joan: wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend has left us to be with God. After a valiant fight with cancer, with family close at hand, she peacefully accepted the embrace of the Angels.
Joan was predeceased by her father Henry and mother Minnie McInnes of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, and her dear daughter Debbi Dillon.
Joan was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and has lived and worked nearly three decades in Cranbrook, many years with the Federal Government department now known as Service Canada and for the last nearly seven years as a co-founder and President of Deliver-All Express Courier Services Ltd.
Our Joan will be lovingly remembered and cherished by her husband Ward Simmonds, her sister Pat (Ken) Pugh, of Yorkton, her son Michael (Luchana) Dillon of Lumsden, Saskatchewan, her grandchildren: Kassandra, Oran and Kael, her step-children: Coral, Andrew and Christopher, plus numerous relatives, and many many treasured friends.
A funeral service for Joan will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 in the McPherson Funeral Chapel in Cranbrook at 3:00 pm.
