Ivan Michael Zaitsoff
October 31st, 1943 - October 5th, 2008
Ivan Zaitsoff of Radium Hot Springs, B.C. passed away suddenly at the age of 64 years on Sunday, October 5th, 2008.
His spouse, Barbara Hoberg, her daughter, Shannon McCann & family of Didsbury, AB. Son Neil McCann & family of Edmonton AB, his sisters, Monica (Gordon) Frehlich of Regina, SK and Janey Kurylyk... of Saskatoon, SK and their children will lovingly remember Ivan. Ivan will also be fondly remembered by numerous other family members and friends.
Ivan was predeceased by his parents George and Mabel Zaitsoff of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. A native of Saskatoon, SK, Ivan attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with a degree in commerce. He articled at Peat Marwick (KPMG) in Edmonton, AB and obtained his CA in 1970.In 1974, Ivan joined Syncrude Canada Ltd in Edmonton, AB, relocating to Fort McMurray with Barbara in 1983 until his retirement in 1995. Ivan served with various charitable organizations utilizing his vast financial skills while in Fort McMurray including the Keyano College Foundation and the YMCA. He also served as treasurer of the Columbia Condo Association Board in Radium Hot Springs for a 3-year period.
Interment in Invermere Cemetery at a later date, a place in the Columbia Valley that he loved so dearly for many years.
