My first day ever as a summer camp counselor I had to run campfire. B-bop was on it with me and I remember that he sang baby shark. He went on with the song forever but each verse got more and more hilarious. People were in stiches around the campfire (as was pretty common when B-bop did anything around camp). Anyway I went on to work at Blue Lake for 4 summers after that and to this day I have never heard a better or funnier version of baby shark. I feel lucky to have known Anton.

Loni, Vern, Nicholas and Dyllys: There are no words to express how my heart aches for all of you - I can only send my love and the hope that your "higher power" will lead you through these days. I am sorry I did not know Anton - all reports are that he was a bundle of positivity and energy, a person who anyone would be blessed to know. May the love of your family bring you strength and courage to get you through the difficult times ahead, and your happy memories of Anton carry you through.I wish I could be there on Sunday to give each of you a big hug, but you probably have had enough of those already. So, you will have to settle for a "virtual" one. Luv, Les

Dearest Vern & Loni,Shirley emailed me this very, very sad news. I am so sorry for your loss. I didn't know Anton, but from what I've read, it truly sounds like he lived life to the fullest. Spending his last moments doing what he loved to do, in a place he loved, would be like the stepping stone to his heaven, but deep saddness for all those loved ones he left behind. Please know that I am thinking of you. I send you lots of love and light - and wish you many loving memories to comfort you now.love, Catherine

It is with great sorrow that we write this note to you. I know that whatever we say will not take away the pain. We did not know Anton very well, but we certainly heard his name mentioned in our house quite often. You see our daughter Krista had a wonderful crush on him for quite some time and i know they were great friends for many years after. We lost Krista almost five years ago, and although we still feel the loss every day we are now able to talk about her with a smile. We won't tell you that time heals or that it will be all right or even how sorry we are. Our wish for you is that you find peace and that at some time in the future you are able to think of Anton and smile. With deepest sympathy The Milhousen Family

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to express my delight at having known Anton. Although I only really knew him for one short year when he was in Grade 6, I will always remember him as a thoroughly charming, positive, bright young man with dancing eyes! Anton reappeared briefly on my horizon when Marg Bibby and I took our classes to Blue Lake Camp. Needless to say, our kids (and us teachers!) had loads of fun with Anton and his antics! Young men like Anton leave a lasting legacy for the youth of our community. His spirit will drift along the mountain tops and bless our valleys for eternity. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
