Obituary of Giuseppe Romeo

January 3, 1934 - July 23, 2008

Giuseppe (Joe) Romeo Senior was born on January 3, 1934 in Bovalino, Italy. Joe arrived in Cranbrook in November of 1957. He spent most of his life working for the Cranbrook School Board Office. Joe was a hardworking man that did everything for his family. He always put them first in everything he did.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Giuseppina, his sons Bruno (Tina), Carlo (Rita), Joe Jr. (Patty) and daughter Cristina; as well as his six grandchildren Josie (Steven), Joey, Joseph, Cristopher, Jessica and Ross.

He also leaves behind a brother and his family and relatives back in Italy.

Prayers for Giuseppe will be held on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 8:00 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cranbrook.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Interment to follow at Westlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honour of Giuseppe can be made to: the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation 101, 105 9th Avenue South Cranbrook, British Columbia V1C 2M1or the B. C.
