Obituary of Edna Raymont

On April 28, 2008 Edna Passed away peacefully at the Joseph Creek Care Home in Cranbrook BC.

Edna was born November 29, 1923 in Mulhurst Alberta.

Edna leaves to mourn her children Phyllis Black, Maureen (Norm) Gunn , Carole (Jake) Wegen, Dale Kelly, William Raymont, Warren Raymont, Randy Raymont, Sherry (Frank) Dreksler, Wendy (Berry) Isherwood, James Raymont; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildern; 3 great great grandchildren; her sister's and brother's Judith Shimmell of Salmo, Esther (Harvey) Houseman of Lumby, Jim (Eva) Helgren of Ymir, Eddie (Bev) Helgren of Kamloops. Edna had a great love for her many nieces and nephews.

Edna was predeceased by Her parents Rudolph and Florence Helgren, husbands Fred Kelly, and William Raymont, sister Eva Heauser, brothers Edgar, Gordon, Yeden and Ed Helgren, and granddaughter Shelly Brons.

Edna was a long time member of the Eagles, The Royal Purple, and the IODE, raised in the Trout Lake and Kaslo area as a child, she moved to Cranbrook where She worked for many years at the Nu-Way and the Zenith Cafe. The family gives a special thank-you to the many doctors and nurses, that helped in her care. To her many friends and family Edna will be will be remembered for her love of family, and the great joy she gave others.

The Funeral will be held 1:00pm on Saturday May 3, 2008 at McPherson Funeral Chapel, 2200 2nd St. South Cranbrook BC. Interment at Westlawn Cemetery.Memorial donations can be made to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation: 101, 105 9th Avenue South Cranbrook, British Columbia V1C 2M1
