One of my first jobs as a Journeyman Electrician was with Pat at Kootenay Electric. We all worked long hard hours doing subdivisions for housing projects in Cranbrook, Fernie and Elkford as well as other projects. Pat always ensured there was work for me. Later, when Pat had a project to do he would always contact me to give him a hand. When I needed work he was always there to ensure I had some. When I built my first house in Cranbrook I bought the building lot from him. When I built in the country Pat put in a proper road for us to ensure the concrete truck could get in to pour the basement. A power pole showed up on the property as well.
Pat was a good friend, work mate and".:Boss". I will miss that smiling face that was always there to greet me.
