Obituary of Sadie Cross

1918 - 2010

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Sadie Margaret Cross announces her passing on Friday, September 24, 2010.

Sadie was born on August 21, 1918 in Glencross, Manitoba. Sadie was predeceased by her first husband Herman Kesslar in 1966; her son Thomas Kesslar in 1966; and her second husband John Cross in 1992. She leaves to mourn her passing, her children: Marguerite Ross of Cranbrook, British Columbia, Lorne Kesslar (Cecile) of Ottawa, Ontario, Rose Murcar of Edmonton, Alberta, Joyce Keen (Don) of Creston, British Columbia, Jim Kesslar (Cathie) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Gordon Kesslar (ex-wife Kathy) of Cranbrook, British Columbia, and Linda Yocum (Eddie) of Smithfield, Missouri; step-son Marcel Cross (Shannon) of Trail, British Columbia; sisters: Mary Neufeld of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Nettie Funk of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Sue Peters of Abbottsford, British Columbia and Agatha Janzen of Lacombe, Alberta; plus 40 grandchildren and step-grandchildren and numerous step great grandchildren.

A memorial service for Sadie will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 11:00 am at McPherson's Funeral Home in Cranbrook. Her Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Cranbrook.
