Dear Todd, Stephanie and family,Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her classmates from the 1970 class of the Foothills Hospital School of Nursing of which I was one. Sharon was a key person in our three years together of nurse's training, and in our ongoing nursing reunions, held every 5 years. She used to host some of the planning meetings at your home in Calgary. It never ceased to amaze me when she brought out more baking from her freezer than what the local bakery carries!! She was a gracious hostess, a person of endless energy, a woman who cared about others, and someone very special to a great many people.I am so very sorry for your loss and cannot imagine how difficult a time this is for all of you. I have to believe, however, that Sharon's strength of character and love for others will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her, and will continue especially with you, her loved ones. With my sincere condolences,June Kirk

Todd and Stephanie,I am a nursing classmate of your Mom's and I wanted to express my deepest sympathies to you and the rest of your family at her passing. I have great memories of Sharon from our training days and also from our many reunions. She was full of fun and had a great outlook on life. She was very proud of her children and grand kids and spoke a lot about you at our last reunion. You must be very proud of her in the way that she managed the last few months of her life with strength and dignity. I will never forget her and when I see her face I will always see those smiling brown eyes. My thoughts are with you today and I wish only the best for you both. You had a great Mom.Sincerely,Janet Landage

Dear Stephanie, Todd, and AnitaI was shocked to read of Sharon's passing in today's paper. Stephanie, I remember so well the day you arrived and how happy your Mom & Dad were; followed two years later by Todd joining the family. I hope you both realize how much joy you brought to the their lives. Your christenings and birthday parties are a very happy part of my memories. I wish I could be with you on Saturday, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Steph and Todd and families: We are so very saddened to read about your Mom in the paper today. No one knows what to say to you, at a time like this, but to recognize what a special lady she was. Your family has had more than its share of losses the last few months and we are thinking of you and hope your pain will start to lessen while the memories remain bright. Love you both.
