How very sad and sorry we all are to learn of the sudden passing of our dear friend Earl. I've known Earl since my brother Bruce lived at St. Mary's Lake in the '70s - two hermits by the lake. A wonderful friend to my brother, and later to Dan and I, my girls and my grandsons. Earl was simply the most generous, kind hearted and giving person I have ever had the honour of calling friend. From keeping our cabin safe and ready for us whenever we were able to get to St. Mary's, to sharing his love, knowledge and expertise of the lake, the wildlife and this very special habitat with us - Earl was always there for us. A smile, a story, a lantern, or chasing the bats out of the chimney for us - nothing was beyond his generosity. He will be deeply missed by all of us - the lake will truly never be the same for any of us. My deepest sympathy to Marie and to Earl's family during this very sad and difficult time.God speed Earl. I pray there's a campfire by a lake for you and Bruce to sit by and get caught up on your wonderful lives.Vicki
