Obituary of Laura Irene Whitesel

The passing of Laura Irene Whitesel, age 86 years, occurred on July 18, 2006 in Kimberley, B.C.

Laura was born in Warner, Alberta on March 21, 1920. She was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #233, Marysville, B.C. and Branch #67 Kimberley, B.C. She enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, reading, watching baseball, cross stitch, knitting and spending time with her family.

Left to cherish Laura's memory are: her son, Martin (Kathy) Whitesel; her daughters: Lois (Mickey) MacDonald; Lynn (Les) Kemball; Patti (Jerry) Dolan; five grandchildren: Robyn & Lindsay Kemball, Jessica Whitesel, Roy & Crystal Dolan. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Whitesel; parents, John and Mathilda Martin; brothers, Charlie, Bill, Al, Harry, Fred and Roy; sisters, Ida, Ethel and Mary.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at McPhersons Funeral Chapel in Kimberley, B.C.

Interment will follow in the Marysville Cemetery.

The family have requested that memorial donations be directed to the Kimberley Special Care Home (The Pines).
