Obituary of Brant Charles Mallard
Please share a memory of Brant to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Brant Mallard on July 8th, 2006.
Born on January 2, 1988, Brant came into this world a Cranbrook's New Years Baby. His short but full life was filled with his love for adventure. His greatest love was skateboarding. If you were to find Brant in his spare time it would be at the skate park. Snowboarding was another love for Brant and weekends you could find him zooming down the slopes in Kimberley. Everything he did he did with fervor whether it was sports or working for his dad and uncle for Mallard Logging. Brant had a wonderful and kind spirit. He was thrilled to become a new uncle in May and would hold his little niece Mackinley gently and tenderly. He was extremely protective of his family, especially his younger sister Brenna, who attended Mt. Baker School with him this past year. It was a proud moment for him and his family as he graduated with the class of 2006 and proudly accepted his diploma from Mr. Goss.
Brant will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his parents Jason and Linnea, brother Jaron (Tiffany) and Mackinley of Cranbrook, sisters Jaylin and Brenna of Fort Steele, grandmother Jessie Swanson of Cranbrook, grandparents Don and Nori Mallard of Fort Steele, great-grandparents Lyndsey and Marie Atwood of Cardston AB, uncle Kurt Swanson (Lianna) Tanner and Kaden, uncle Bill Swanson (Anne) Celia and Justin: aunt Carla (Len Bowe) Jadi, uncle Jig Mallard (Roxanne) Caitlin, Jen, Colin, Rory all which live in Cranbrook and uncle Jess Mallard (Alana) Landis and son Wyatt, Ryan and Maddie of Fort Steele, and many great aunts, uncles and cousins to numerous to mention.
Brant was predeceased by his grandfather Bill Swanson in 2000. Viewing will be from 7pm-9pm on Tuesday July 11, 2006 at McPherson Funeral Chapel in Cranbrook, British Columbia.
A celebration of Brant's life will be held on Wednesday July 12, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2210-2nd Street North, Cranbrook, British Columbia.
