Obituary of Vera Abbey

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vera Abbey on June 26th, 2006, at the age of 80, with her family at her side.

Vera is survived by her husband of 61 years Robert (Bob) three sons, Michael (Ella), Robert (Heidie), David (Shelley), six daughters Evelyn Hummel (Alfred), Marian Turk (Bruce), Vivian Heinemann (Alvie), Valerie Turk (Roy), Pat Clegg (Dave) and Veralynn Rice (Will), sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, three sisters and a brother along with their family from England.

Vera loved gardening and was a long time active member of the Eagles.

There will be a gathering to celebrate Vera's life at the Eagles Hall Thursday, June 29th, at 2:00 PM.

Memorial Tributes may be made to the Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles, 711 Kootenay Street, V1C 3V1.
