Obituary of Pasquale Camilli

Pasquale (Pat) was born in Fernie, February 25, 1918, and passed away peacefully at Joseph Creek Care Village December 10, 2007 at 89 years of age.
Pasquale grew up in Hosmer and served in the Second World War, stationed in Jamaica. He married Alvira (Gasparotto) in 1942 and moved to Michel where they raised 3 children, later moving to the Elk Valley and spent the last 4 years in Cranbrook.
Pasquale is survived by his daughter Dianne (Andy) Schmaltz and his son Keith (Dianne). Pasquale "PAPA" will be missed by his grandchildren, Keith Jr. (Roberta), Michelle (Dave) Elliott, Trina Arnett and great grandchildren Kody, Nina, Landon, Chiara and Cole. He is also survived by his sister Florence (Percy) Starr. Predeceased by his wife Alvira, son Mark, brothers Mike, Louie and sister Flora.
Pasquale will be remembered for his love of life. He worked hard and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and curler. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished his friends and made time for them all. He has left us but his memory will live forever.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday December 13, 2007 at 3:00PM at Christ The Servant Catholic Church in Cranbrook. A prayer service will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Sparwood, Friday December 14th at 1:30PM followed by a graveside service.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 19-9th Avenue South, Cranbrook, BC, V1C 2L9 in honour of Pasquale Camilli.
