Ed passed away in Cranbrook, BC on October 12, 2007 at the age of 60 years. Ed is survived by his loving wife Heather, daughter Susan of Calgary, mother Jewel of Cranbrook, brother John (Susan) of Whitehorse, Yukon, special friends Allan Fillmore, Bill and Sandra Post, Randy Belway, Al Hassen, many nieces and nephews and friends will miss Ed. Ed was born July 12, 1947 in Campbellford, Ontario. He graduated from Sir Sandford Flemming College Natural Resources School in 1971 and worked for a number of years as a conservation officer in Espanola, Ontario. Later he moved to the Yukon for ten years where he worked to achieve the rank of Chief Conservation Officer. Six years were spent in Penticton as a fisheries technician. Then Ed moved to Cranbrook in 1993 where he finished his career, as an administrator for Ktunaxa/Kinbasket Development Corp. Ed was a great outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, classic cars, horseback riding and his annual cattle branding trip. Ed also had many interests including Gold Creek Coffee Club, Southeast Mopar Owners Group, East Kootenay Hunting Opportunities Committee, and the East Kootenay Antiques and Classic Auto Club.This Thursday October 18, 2007, between 2pm-5pm the family wishes to invite all friends to the Legion located downstairs at the Heritage Inn for a celebration and a toast to Ed's Life.
