Born in Cranbrook, B.C., December 20, 1916, Bertha passed away quietly on September 28, 2007, at the age of 90 years, at the FW Green Memorial Home in Cranbrook, B.C.
Bertha is survived by her two daughters and sons in law Muriel; Pachara (Mike) and Karen Gordon (Alan) both residing in Cranbrook. She had 5 grandchildren, Muriel's children, Karen Tippe (Garth) of Ft. McMurray, Kevin Taylor (Tracey) of White Horse, Arthur Taylor (Carin) of Ft. Saskatchewan and Karen's children, Cathy Spooner (Darryl) in Cranbrook and Jim Gordon (Donna) of Cochrane. She was loved by 11 great-grandchildren, Sarah and Samantha Tippe, David and Nathaniel Taylor, Jodi and Erin Taylor, Amanda and Brittney Spooner and Kashtin, Coda and Jaydan Gordon. She also leaves to grieve many nieces, nephews and friends, especially among the staff and residents of the Green Home.
We will all miss her wonderful sense of humour, kindness and amazing strength.She was predeceased by husband Charles, sisters Fanny, Mona, Evelyn and brother Eddy.
A service was held Tuesday October 2, 2007 at the Anglican Church in Cranbrook. Interment followed at Serenity Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity or church of the donor's choice.
