Alex (Mr. Cooper) as I always knew him was such a positive role model for me as I was growing up. I always loved it when he played his guitar, because I too aspired to play. He was always so good to Alexandria and I when we were youngsters. I remember a time when he set us up for a few "solo" days at a little campsite on Kootenay Lake known as Cumming's Resort. I remember him taking us down to the far end of the lake (I was fascinated because I was only 13 and I didn't think you could get to the end of a lake as big as Kootenay Lake!) But to the end we went and what a thrill he gave us as he pushed the boat to her limits and we nearly hovered over the water! He also took us a few times to some of the places in the lake where he knew the fish hung out. He was always so good hearted and kind. I remember speaking to him at the Regional hospital briefly about 5 months ago when I noticed him seated in the ER waiting area. At that time he told me he was not feeling at all well. I went home and began to pray for himself and his family whom he loved so well. Mr. Cooper (Alex) I know you are with Jesus now and that you are playing your guitar and mouth organ and bringing more joy to heaven.I love you and will miss you but earth's loss is heaven's gain.
