Obituary of Marjorie Phyllis Bradford

With great sadness the family announces that Marjorie passed away on September 12, 2007 in Cranbrook, B.C. at the age of 90 years.
Marj was born in Moose Jaw SK on June 11, 1917. She attended secretarial school in Moose Jaw after high school and eagerly awaited her nineteenth birthday so she could marry Fred Bradford in Strongfield, SK in 1938. The young couple lived in Kenaston, SK until they moved to Maple Creek in 1946, after a short stay in Lethbridge. In 1954 Marj and Fred packed up their four kids and all their belongings and moved west. First to Kimberley for a short time and then they settled in Cranbrook. Marj worked hard as a mom of four kids, as well she enjoyed her work as a legal stenographer. She retired at sixty-five. After Fred passed away in 1990, Marj sold their home, eventually settling into Willowbrook Estates and finally at Joseph Creek.Marj is survived by her daughters Dallas, Jill (Jim), Stacey, (Dalton) and one son Kelly (Lynn), eight grandchildren; Jamie (Lonnie), Bob (Heather), Mike's wife Sherry, Padgett (Kelsy), Cody, K.C. (Mette) Calem (Jolene), Bradford James and Devlin, eight great grandchildren; Sam, Austin, Elizabeth, Talon, Justyn and Josie, Corbin and Leland.Marj was predeceased by her husband Fred, son-in-law Ron and grandson Mike. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday September 17, 2007 at McPherson's Funeral Chapel in Cranbrook, British Columbia, with Reverend Jack Lindquist officiating.Donations in memory of Marj may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
