Obituary of Linda Jean Bird
Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Linda Bird died on August 27, 2007, in Cranbrook, B.C. Linda moved from Alberta to McBride, B.C in the early 1980's.
She loved to hike in the alpine, work in the garden, and host friends for meals and interesting conversation. She had a good sense of fun and appreciated the simple things of life. Fifteen years ago Linda met the Creator of all good things, and surrendered her life to the lordship of Jesus Christ. She attended Providence Seminary where she obtained a masters degree in biblical counseling, and then opened Kootenay Christian Counselling, first in Creston and then in Cranbrook at Cranbrook Alliance Church. She marveled at God's goodness in revealing Himself to her, and desired that those she loved would seriously consider His claim on their lives.
As cancer took her body, her heart and mind were set on heaven where she knew God had a place ready for her. I will not boast in anything No gifts, no power, no wisdom But I will boast in Jesus Christ His death and resurrection Why should I gain from His reward? I can not give an answer But this I know with all my heart His wounds have paid my ransom From How Deep the Father's Love for Us by Stuart Townend
