Obituary of Genevieve Traverse

Mrs. Genevieve Traverse of Marysville, B.C. passed away peacefully with her family at her side at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, B.C. on Wednesday August 1, 2007 at the age of 76 years. Genevieve was born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan on September 22, 1930. In her younger years she was active in the CWL and enjoyed sewing, baking, crocheting and playing cards. Due to her recent health issues, reading, watching television and visits from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren filled her days. Left to cherish Genevieve's memory are her loving children: Brian (Cathy) Traverse, Parson B.C., Sandra (Brian) Meyers, Canal Flats B.C., Maxine Traverse, Marysville B.C., Mark (Niki) Traverse, Kimberley, B.C., Roxanne Hekker (Pete Menear) Kimberley, B.C.; grandchildren Clark (Tanya), Ryan, Kyle (Lisa), Kerry (Chelsie), Tammie, Janessa, Brad, Erika, Brandon; great grandchildren: Brooklyn and Mackenzie; her loving sisters: Barbara, Elizabeth, Stephina and Angelina. She was predeceased by her parents: Frank and Anna Marie Tuchsherer; her siblings Ignatza, Johanna, Katie, Eva, Rosie, Evelynne, Annie, Michael, Birgetta and Magdelena.She joins in eternal peace her husband Earl (1995). A funeral service will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kimberley, B.C. on Friday August 10th, 2007 at 11:00 am.
