Obituary of Wayne Albert Sanford

Wayne Albert Sanford passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 2, 2007 at the age of 69 at Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, Alberta.

Wayne is survived by his wife Joan, two sons Brent (Wyndi) and Cal (Annette) and two daughters Stacey and Mardy, brothers Sandy (Mylene) and Gordie (Diane) and sister Darlene (Grant), 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and friends whom he held dear.Wayne was born in Yellowgrass, Saskatchewan on April 15, 1938. He grew up in Moose Jaw, Sask. and moved to Cranbrook, B.C. in 1969.

He spent his life driving semis throughout Canada and the United States. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing and being a handyman.For the past six years Wayne lived in Jaffray, B.C. with Fay Reed (by whom he is also survived). He made new friends and had the opportunity to travel and visit with his old friends and with his relatives.Wayne is predeceased by his parents, brother Dale and sister Lowayne. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be held at McPherson's Funeral Chapel, Cranbrook, British Columbia on Tuesday May 8, 2007 at 2:00 pm.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, #101 - 105 - 9th Ave. S Cranbrook, BC V1C 2M1
