Obituary of Jacob Loewen

Jack passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side at the age of 78 years.

He was born in Rabbit Lake, SK. Jack worked running crane and retired from BC Hydro Construction in 1989. He was a member of Operating Engineers for the last 40 years; member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Smithers, B.C. and when he moved back to Cranbrook in 2004 he continued involvement with Branch 24.

He enjoyed music and loved to tease and joke with everyone. His last few years he lived in Joseph Creek and loved everyone and all the attention he got. He loved spending time with his daughters - all family members brightened his days.Jack is survived by daughters Cheryl and Wayne Ostash, Beverly Loewen; grandchildren Tammy Wicheruk (Mark) Cody Ostash, and Jonathan Ostash.

He was predeceased by his wife Velma Erica Loewen in 1980, Doris Hay in 1993; daughter Brenda Lee Evans in 2002; sister Freida and brother Walter.
