Obituary of Beatrice Rose Lucas

Born as Beatrice Rose Lee in the Crowsnest Pass in Blairmore, Alberta; Betty came to Cranbrook in 1975, where she resided with her family until the present time. She got her nursing degree in Nelson, B.C. in 1966 and worked as a nurse at the Old Hospital known as the Tudor House.
She met and married Albert (Bunnie) Lucas from Kimberley while working with Alcohol and Drug counselling. Betty loved music and dancing, and loved to play golf and bingo. She loved to socialize, and wherever she was, you could be sure she left people with a lot of love and laughter.
Predeceased by her loving soul mate, Bunnie, in December of 2004, Betty is survived by her three daughters, Bonnie Morin (John Turner), Connie Monti (Tom Scheller) and Leslie Faulkner (Bob Townsend) all of Cranbrook, BC.; three stepsons, Garry Lucas (Peggy) of Elkford, BC, Donnie Lucas of St Albert AB, and Carmen Lucas (Diane) of Halifax, NS.
She also leaves behind two brothers, John (Picky) Lee (Hilda) of Cranbrook, BC and Bill Lee (Charlotte) of Kamloops, BC; fourteen grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of Beatrice Lucas' life on Friday March 2nd at 2 pm at McPherson's Funeral Chapel in Cranbrook, B.C.
A reception and eulogy by Hilda Lee will follow at 2:30 pm.Donations may be made to the Kidney or Heart and Stroke Foundations in Cranbrook.
