Obituary of Gerhard Kasdorf

Gerry (Gerhard) Kasdorf passed away with grace and dignity at his lake home on August 31, 2010 surrounded by his entire family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lee (nee Leona Heyde) and their three devoted daughters and ten grandchildren: Carmen (Peter Gerrard) and their children Christopher, Chelsey (James Beales), Marissa, Kyle and Kayla; Lindsey (Brian Felty) and their children Brandon, Danika and Kellan; and Julie (Stan McFarlane) and their children Lukas and Molly.

Gerry was born in Bassano, Alberta, November 4th, 1933 and grew up in Rosemary with his parents (now deceased) and four siblings, David, Henry, Helen and Richard. Gerry graduated with Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and moved back to Canada with his wife to begin his career in the oil patch - a career that spanned his entire life and concluded with his role as President and Owner of Astral Energy Partnerships.

We will be celebrating his life at Canyon Meadow's Golf and Country Club (12501 - 14th St. SW Calgary) on Monday, September 13th from 7 to 10 pm.
